Community Levels

Take a swim around in your own imagination, a hike in into the deepest parts of the id, extract your best ideas, and build them into a creative master piece. LittleBigPlanet on PSP allows players to realise their dreams and ideas, and publish them for everyone to see.

Never ending fun

In less than eight months, LittleBigPlanet players on PS3 had published over a million levels, and that number keeps on growing, forming a vast creativilisation, and giving players an almost endless selection of new levels to choose from.

LittleBigPlanet PSP is no different, and because there are sooo many levels, browsing them to find good things can often be overwhelming. This is why we’ve compiled this section of the website – it’s all about finding the good things; where to look, and how!

Finding levels from In-game

Community Moon

Selecting the Community Moon from the main menu is the first step you should take to finding cool community levels. You’re going to need an internet connection for this to work of course, that’s actually the first step, but let’s assume you have all that kind of guff sorted out already shall we?.

You are now looking at the Community Moon, and all the wonderful possibilities that it presents to you. In front of you are the current cool levels, the ones that have bubbled to the front page using an algorithm so staggeringly complex, that we hired it to manage our finances.

Browsing

Look at all those badges.... each one of these levels was made by another you, that is, another Creator Curator. You can browse the world just like you would in Story Mode, but with the added option of delving deeper into the cool levels by pressing or to change the page.
Once you’ve found a level that looks great, just press and you’ll be gadding about in no time.
But how does one decide which levels look great? Let’s see....

Star Ratings

When you complete a level, you are given the chance to rate it between one and five stars. Using this system, it is easy to find levels which are highly regarded by other denizens of LittleBigPlanet, all you have to do is look for levels with a high star rating. The more plays it has whilst still having a high star rating, the more likely it is to be great. Similarly, something rated badly with only a handful of plays might not be as bad as it seems!

Search

If you’ve heard of a really cool level, or just played one once and forgot to heart it, and now can’t find it, then don’t fret! You can search for it using the handy search option next to the Community option in the main menu. Here you can search for the following things:

• Featured levels
• Featured players
• Newest levels
• Highest rated
• My levels
• Most hearted
• Text search
• Friends
• Hearted creators

These searches are also available for your downloaded content.
